Logic 11 doesn't open Logic Pro x files

My 2016 Macbook suddenly died. Now a new 2024 Mac mini M4 (macOS 15.3) with Logic 11(.1.2).

Issue: all my Logic projects made with Logic Pro X cannot be opened Message is that the "the file is not in the correct format". Setting Logic in Rosetta mode doesn't help.

Does anyone have a solution?

Hi,

Not a direct answer but a probable workaround is to "Import Projects" from Logic Pro X sessions to Logic Pro 11 projects: To import a Logic Pro project from another Logic Pro project, you can use the File menu to import Logic Projects.

Import Logic Projects

  1. Select File > Import > Logic Projects
  2. Click All Files in the Browser
  3. Find and select the project you want to import from
  4. Click Import
  5. Select the data you want to import by selecting the checkboxes
  6. Click Add to add the selected data to your current project
