"source of screen sensitivity issues iPhone 15P: I and others (from queries here) have experienced weird touchscreen sensitivity issues, typically attributed to screen protectors. I was able to fix my issues (iPhone 15P iOS18.3.1) by turning off Perform Touch Gestures (Settings, Accessibility, Touch, AssistiveTouch). This option is deeply buried and I assume one of the recent iOS updates turned it on in the first place. Hope this helps."

If not covered under AppleCare...
Try a Liquid Protector on the New Screen:
What I use: LiquidNano or Liquid Armor. It takes about 45 minutes to drive, and all it take is a few light rubs ---Poomph, its on there. And if you ever get a ding it's potentially a mm-deep crater on the liquid, and is nothing a dangerous crack on the screen. I got mine at a retailer, and they put it on. Works like a charm. IMPORTANT: Applying this coating to an iPhone would void you AppleCare. So, avoid doing this, if you have this covered under AppleCare..
