iPod doesn't appear in my Apple Music app

music stopped seeing my iPod classic 160 gb. I restored software and can see it in Finder, but music doesn't see it at all. Under Finder, I can see the iPod and it sits there with a progress wheel that doesn't seem to move, and I can see the iPod hard drive listed separately, with the folders, but no music.

ipod not showing in apple music or itunes I'm trying to update my ipod nano, but it won't appear in either apple music or itunes. it appears in windows explorer. I have already tried: uninstalling, rebooting, installing itunes and apple music uninstalling ipod drivers (ipod not plugged in at the time), normally a popup appears for itunes asking if i want to itunes to connect to ipod Reformatted ipod in windows But nothing has happened

Why does Apple Music and iTunes refuse to see my ipod classic? My ipod classic 80Gb is connecting to my computer and my laptop, and I can connect to it with the Apple Devices app. However that is horendously slow and will only allow me to sync everything from the computer after removing all my music from the ipod. I have songs on there which I cannot get access to elsewhere, so need the facility to selectively sync. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
