Also see System Settings > Keyboard. You can enable pressing the 🌐 key to show the emoji & symbols panel.

If you wish, you can also display the Text Input Sources in the menu bar – that includes the Emoji & Symbols Viewer.

Go again to System Settings > Keyboard > Text Input > Input Sources Edit. You can then switch the toggle to "Show input menu in menu bar"
