new emojis not showing up

the new emojis aren't showing up in my messages app on my MacBook pro. How can I get them to show up? I just updated my software to bigSur 11.7.1.

I had the same problem too. I updated to Monterey or Ventura to fix the problem. I was also having trouble with my family not receiving some of my links I sent in iMessages.

How do I update to those slash why don't they give me that option under 'about this mac'?

Slash? Probably because your Mac is too old and not supported by Monterey or Ventura.
