External display flickers at 75hz

I am using a 24" 1080p as my 2nd display with mac mini M4 and macbook pro M1. The screen flickers when set to either 75hz or variable (48-75hz). But it works fine with 60hz.

It also use to happen with my 22" lg and I thought its the hdmi to hdmi cable issue. So I bought new type c to dp and type c to hdmi cables. Same problem for all.

Note all these 3 cables can go 165/144 hz with my main 27" 2k display. Any way to solve it?

Mac mini, macOS 15.3

What make and model are your displays..?

Do your HDMI and USB-C cables support higher refresh rates...?

For the best results use short 1M/3.3' 8K high speed HDMI and USB-C cables.

for a USB-C to HDMI example: > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B3SB5VC/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?

for a USB-C to DisplayPort example: > https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08B3SB5VC/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?
