Flickering external monitor

Hi I am using a Samsung curved monitor as an external display with my macbook Air. It keeps flickering in and out so I can't use it. I have tried a new HDMI cable but it still flickers. Any ideas?

I never had this problem with my EIZO before and heard about the problem with the new apple M1/M2 series chip. external monitor flickering Yes - this issue has been discussed alot. I have tried all the suggested solutions - changing colorprofile, changing refresh rate, changing cable. The problem occurs both for thunderbolt-thunderbolt and thunderbolt-displayport. The only "work around" is using hdmi, which is a major downgrade considering the cost of these mac computers. I have this flickering problem both on a Studio Ultra m1, and on a macbook pro m1. I am using a Benq PD3220 external screen, but I read that the issue is also related to many other brands. I am using my macs for work, and this flickering is a real problem now. Can anyone recommend a screen where this flickering is NOT happening (more than 1 year flicker-free) ? Did anyone with a mac monitor experince this problem ? Can it be fixed by sending the computer to repair at apple - did anyone get it fixed by repair ?

Macbook Air M2 & Dell S3221QS flickering. Same issue as Mac mini M1 & Dell S3221QS flickering. - Apple Community but with a macbook air. Ive had both my Macbook Air M2 and Dell monitor for over a year now and I'm still not able together to the bottom of the constant flickering and fine vertical bars. I use the monitor with an Intel MacBook Pro with absolutely no issues using USB-C to HDMI. I have been through the various threads on here but no-one, it seems, has come up with a solution. Things I have tried:- USB-C to HDMI - I get the flickering and vertical stripes. Other USB-C to HDMI - I get the flickering and vertical stripes. The fact that this monitor seems to work ABSOLUTELY FINE with non-M2 computers suggests to me the issue is with the Apple side of things. Has anyone found a reliable solution to this?

Same problem for me. Occasional flicker. Sometimes it turns to straight static.

Even with the high-performance HDMI cable that previously worked fine.

I am using a Samsung LC27RG50FQNXZA with my 2021 MacBook Pro (M1 Pro).

No dock or external connections other than a straight HDMI cable from MacBook to Monitor.

FYI- I may have resolved my issue.

I set the refresh rate on my monitor to the same refresh rate setting as my Mac settings (60Hz) and it hasn't happened again since.
