Mac Mini M1 2020 Status Indicator Light stopped working

Have a Mac mini M1 2020 that has worked fine for several years but recently replaced the monitor with a Samsung using HDMI connection. For some reason the indicator light does not work. Mac works fine without the light. But curiously, the advanced power strip which used the Mac as the control to turn on the other accessories will not turn on the new monitor and the other peripherals based on the control plug (with the Mac) go on and off. Changed the threshold of the power strip and no difference. Any thoughts on why the indicator light is not working? I changed the control plug to the Samsung monitor and the peripherals all stay on so it must relate to the power of the Mac?

Mac mini, macOS 15.3

What advanced power strip..?

Please provide a better description or a web-link for the power strip.

Why are you using a controlling power switch..?

Most devices like displays and drives will go into stand-by when the M1 is sleeping or off.

Does the M1's Status Indicator Light work when it is plugged directly into a wall outlet..?

If it does, then it sounds like the power strip is faulty and needs to either be eliminated or replaced.

Called the power strip maker Tricklestar and for some reason the threshhold for the control plug is not working. Changed it to low threshhold and now it works if I plug the monitor into the control.

I use the mac mini as the control so when I turn it off, the peripherals like the printer and lamp go off too.

Whatever the reason, the mac mini led light is working again. Beats me. We had a brief power outage two weeks ago and maybe it screwed with something. I thought it was the Samsung monitor which I just bought from Costco.
