Camera advise needed please… iPhone 13 Pro camera vs the iPhone 16 camera

I’m looking to upgrade but is the iPhone 13 Pro 12MP camera system superior or inferior to the iPhone 16 Advanced dual-camera system with 48MP main camera?

I can see they are different when comparing the two but what is the actual difference in function and quality?

Theres lots of discussions about the 13 pro vs 16 pro but I’d rather the regular 16 cheaper price tag without compromising on quality if that’s possible? Many thanks
