Is DDC protocol supported, monitor brightness control via BetterDisplay app or others, when connecting the monitor to MacMini M4 via HDMI cable?

When connected via Type-C port, it works fine.

MacMini M4 and Acer Nitro XV275K

Mac mini (M4)

I asked the question myself and I answer it myself. Yes, it works, the brightness is adjusted when connecting the display with an HDMI cable.

No, unfortunately. The downstream C port is also needed for monitor hub functions. Use both or C-only (I would use both).
