Apple “Intelligence” is promoting phishing attempts in Priority in Apple Mail

I have two concerns about Apple Intelligence in my Apple Mail app on my phone. The first one is that Apple Intelligence is promoting phishing attempts to “Priority” status at the top. I have seen these down in the listing of my emails and know for certain they are phishing, but I am very concerned that Apple is promoting these, and that less sophisticated users and people like my elderly parents may actually believe that these are important and respond to them and fall victim to scams. Sounds like liability to me.

The second concern I have is that there is no way to remove them from the Priority section. I now have four priority items at the top, and THREE of them are these phishing emails. I have tapped and held these down and given feedback, but the expected behavior of tapping and holding on these would be to remove them from the listing at the top and report them as spam or phishing.

I had the same experience this morning with an obvious fishing email from “Centrelink” about making sure my pension payments continue. I’m neither Australian or living in Australia, so that was a bit of a giveaway. AI should have easily been able to screen that out.
