Spam Email account named "Senior Discounts" showed up on iPad mini

A spam email account named "Senior Discounts" showed up on my mini iPad. It can't be deleted! Under Settings, email accounts all emails accounts are listed, plus the spam account. Any of the legit accounts can be modified or deleted, but the spam account can't be highlighted, changed or deleted. Any suggestions? Going to passwords doesn't help because I don't know the password that a the spam account used.

Glad that got it sorted. Just for future reference, it was almost certainly not a virus. The most likely way this happened was you or someone clicking, either inadvertently or by being tricked into it, a link that enticed the installation of that profile. Be very, very wary of accepting any installations of any sort unless you're completely sure that the site you're accessing is safe.

Regards.

Try this: go to Settings -> General -> Profiles & Device Management (or VPN & Device management, depending on the version of iPadOS your device is running). If you see a profile there and you're not a part of a company or school who is managing your iPad, delete that profile and restart your iPad. Then see if you can delete that spam email account.

Hope this helps. Regards.
