MacBook Air not displaying on external display

I have an m1 macbook air and the screen broke and im currently using an external display, the problem is its showing "choose mirror or extend display from the menu" Problem is i cant even see anything on the main display. Is there something i can do to be able to force video onto the external display? I tried clamshell mode, still shows the prompt.

IF the Screen is damaged you may connect the device to your external monitor as long as it works and Keep in mind we don't even know when will it stop displaying / connecting .

All these will happens because of the damage of the screen .

However if you don't want to replace the display ,try connecting your device to a different external monitor andre check whether you may able to connect or not .
