IPhone 15 randomly goes into Silent Mode

My iPhone 15 randomly but repeatedly goes into Silent Mode. I have followed Apple Community recommendations of updating Focus filters -- and turned off Do Not Disturb altogether -- but it still happens. I have also turned off the top side button's functionality. But still Silent Mode irregularly comes on without warning, causing me to miss important phone calls. I've seen other Apple customers' complaints about the same issue going back to 2023, with no fix that works offered by the Apple Community. I suspect this is a bug that Apple needs to fix.

Sorry, but there is no way to disable the functionality of the ring/vibrate switch.

What, exactly, did you do that makes you think you did that?

If its switching to vibrate on its own without the switch being flipped, that would tend to indicate a hardware problem with the switch.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and get it fixed.

There are no magic words that will fix a hardware problem.

The too side button -- of three side buttons -- on an iPhone 15 is the Action Button. It can be assigned many different functions but the default function is a toggle between silent mode and the ringer and other sounds. When I first got the iPhone 15 I was not used to this third, Actuon button and kept accidentally silencing my ringer. That's why I disabled the Action button. Note: I had an iPhone 12 before and it had only two side buttons. I believe the 15 is the first iPhone that has three.
