iCloud email did not transfer to iPhone 16 Pro

I used the Apple "Transfer to a new iPhone" process, with my old 13 Pro and 16 Pro side by side.

Everything appears to have transferred except my Apple Mail, iCloud email folders and email.

My Inbox is empty and there are no iCloud folders.

My email account is set up on the new 16 Pro. (As viewed by Mail APP and iCloud settings)

My Apple ID is the default (Primary) address. My aliases appear.

In the Mail APP "Fetch New Data" is set to "Push". (originally it was set to Fetch every 15 minutes)

On iCloud.com, my MBP and iPad all my email is visible.

How do I get my email and iCloud folders back?

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 18

I’m not sure what I did to fix the problem.

My change from Fetch to Push, may have taken a while to process.

(I also tried a Manual Fetch)

I was holding off on signing out then back in to iCloud.

I swiped down to refresh my inbox and spinning activity indicator stayed spinning. A while later (20-30 minutes?) my inbox downloaded my mail. Looking at my iCloud folders, they reappeared. Opening a folder took a few seconds to populate the mail.

Have you tried removing the mail account from your settings and re-adding it?
