Can't enable Cinematic effect in FCPX: "The Cinematic effect can't be enabled". I can't get the Cinematic effect to work in FCPX. I have recently updated to OSX 12.5 and iOS 16.0.0. The effect works on iPhone Pro 13 and I can also see it in the Photos app on OSX. Photos app shows "Cinematic" label on the video. However, when I start to edit the video in Photos, I can't edit the depth of field (but the effect is applied though) - the timeline doesn't show focus points or anything else related to the Cinematic video. So there's something wrong already here. My iPhone has previously prompted to me to process videos before importing and I have clicked ok. I then try to import the clip into FCPX. The clips are imported and show without Cinematic effect. I then try to drag the clip to timeline and click on "Cinematic" in the inspector. I then get message "The Cinematic effect can't be applied". This message also appears when I try to enable Cinematic keyframe editing for the clip directly from the timeline. What could this be? I tried to shoot new videos and it happens with all of them.

imovie app not working on iPhone I have used the iMovie app on my iPhone many times to make short movies from photos in an album. But now it is not allowing me to see the movie either and edit mode or finished mode to go in and make the adjustments. You hear the music and see the transitions in the edit mode, but not on the movie itself. It is not working correctly and I have tried to delete and reinstall, but nothing has worked so far.

Hi,

Try rebooting your iPhone. Often that cures issues.

Also, make sure that your software is up to date, both operating system and the iMovie app.
