Why is my MacBook Pro M4 not charging and turning on?

I also faced the same issue with my brand new macbook pro m4 16GB RAM/512GB storage. It was around 70% charge and suddenly turned off when I was away for a while.

Now it's not charging and not even turning on. Magsafe 3 charger is blinking and type C ports are also not taking any power. No sign of water or dust.

It was just 1.5 months old since the purchase. Taking to the sellar tomorrow.

In the early days I noticed it was frozen one time and I had to restart.

Please read If your Mac battery won’t charge - Apple Support. You will probably need to start with Check the hardware, specifically the steps regarding that Mac's power adapter and cable.

If you don't get anywhere read the applicable steps under If the indicator light flashes in If your MagSafe cable or power adapter isn't working - Apple Support.

@H_sailor Thank you for your reply, and apologies for the late response. I took mine to the seller the very next day after posting this.

The seller agreed to provide a temporary M3 Pro until Apple offers a replacement or solution. They also mentioned that exchanging it for a better model was an option if I paid the price difference.

It was a MacBook Pro M4 base model, so I returned it to the seller, added some extra cash, and upgraded to a MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro chip.

I hope, the new one won’t have any issues in the future.

Did they fix it?

I’m also having the same issue with my m4. Charging just fine for awhile and all of sudden the charger flashing orange and my mac cannot be charged anymore even with usb c.

Replaced my one too.

@faizla contact the seller in person. Don’t do anything which violates warranty.
