lost my iphone, bought a new phone but lost all my pictures and contacts. Any way to get them back? They are not in my icloud:(

Did you have a recent backup in iCloud for your old phone? If you run out of iCloud storage space, your phone will not continue to be backed up.
I had enough icloud storage space but I cant remember if I had a recent backup unfortunately so I probably didnt..
If you set up iCloud backups, your phone was backing up automatically overnight as long as you had the power adapter connected to the phone.
