Persistent App Store glitch on iPhone

My AppStore has been glitching for over a year now. Anytime I search for an app in the store it shows me the results for about 10 seconds and then it will glitch back to the Home Screen. Recently, once it would glitch back to home, my screen has started flashing black until I close out the app. Some days I can’t download any apps or access my account profile in the AppStore, I will just get the loading icon until I close the app, this can sometimes go on for days until it decides to start working again. I don’t know what to do, I haven’t been able to find anything on this issue and I’ve tried all the obvious fixes, nothing has worked.

I have this exact same issue and have for a long time on and off. No idea what’s causing it. It’s so annoying!

I tried quite a few things, including restarting, with no joy. I have an iPhone 14 Pro.

Earlier today I spoke with Apple support who tried a few things. After updating to the latest iOS (18.3) I have been able to install an app for the first time in a while, but the glitchy and constantly refreshing/reloading app store remains. So it feels like it could stop working again.

It now makes sense why my apps are often out of date.

Well, if it makes you feel better, the App Store app has been slow loading and kind of glitchy for a while for many of us. It happens on my iPhone 16 Pro, and my iPad Pro 6th generation. My wife has the same issue on both of her devices, and so does a buddy of mine. The only place it works fine is on my iMac, but it's a whole different app to work on that device. So bottom line, now that the Apple Support team has got your apps to update, you know the rest is not due to problems with your phone.
