iPhone 14 Pro Max - display doesn’t turn on when notifications received

Display doesn’t turn on when I receive new notification on my 14 PM, also can’t change wallpaper with a long tap from the Lock Screen. All the settings was checked, nothing changed. Can’t find the solution…

Firmly Press.

The pic below may help you.

In the first screenshot, there's no lock icon at the top and it says 'Swipe up to open' at the bottom. That means your iPhone is unlocked but not open.

If you swipe up and open it will not work. If the Screen is locked it will not work.

To change and customize your iPhone wallpaper, you'll need to unlock your phone first. If pressing firmly on the Lock Screen doesn't work, it's because your iPhone is still locked. Don't swipe up to unlock it entirely. Instead, just use Face ID to unlock it normally, and then you'll be able to access the wallpaper options by pressing firmly again.

My iphone 14 pro max has the exact same issue. It’s a used one and I do not know if the previous owner replaced the screen. When AOD is on, the screen brightens up normally when notifications arrive. But when AOD is off only the sound and vribration come through, the screen remains off.

Also, “Hey siri” does not work. Only when I tap the screen so it lights up, or with AOD on will Siri respond to my “Hey siri”.

Another problem with my 14PM is that the screen has a delay before turning off during call when I put it close to my ear. And when I take the phone off my ear, the screen cannot turn back on unless I press the power button or rampantly tap the screen, which is really frustrating.
