Note, though, that while you can block a given number, spammers use dozens if not hundreds of numbers, often fake, so trying to block them becomes a game of "Whac-a-Mole" and is rarely effective. If you're being plagued with many spam texts, the only truly effective thing you can do is change your phone number.

Reporting spam emails is something you do through your email provider, but again, spammers use many, many different email addresses, so it's usually not possible to block these spams in any really useful way. You can ask your email provider if they have an anti-spam filter which may help, or if you also use a computer to get email, you can look into anti-spam filtering on that system; any messages moved to trash or junk there would be reflected in your iPhone's email app.
