My new iPhone won’t sync with my old iPhone

I’m trying to sync my new iPhone 15 with my old iPhone 11. During the process it keeps asking me for my 6 digit passcode but my passcode is only 4 digits and it’s never been 6 digits. Because of this, I’m not able to transfer everything from my iPhone 11 to the new phone. HELP PLEASE!!

iPhones do not have a built-in feature to directly sync data between them in real-time without using iCloud.

Many types of data (Contacts, Photos, Notes, Safari bookmarks, etc.) can be synced between iPhones using iCloud, provided both devices are signed into the same Apple ID and have the relevant settings enabled.

You do need the passcode of another device to do the above.

Probably you are referring to something else that is not clear to me.

If you’re using the device-to-device QuickStart data migration, log into your old iPhone, reset the passcode to six digits, restart the iPhone, restart the new iPhone, and try the transfer again.

Also make sure you’re not encountering a request for a verification code from a trusted device for a new-device login for your Apple Account. That’ll be six digits, but not your iPhone passcode.
