MacBook Pro M16 one month old black screen with blurry apple

My brand new MacBook Pro, M4, started having random buttons flashing on the screen about a week ago. Today is suddenly the screen is black, you can see a fuzzy. Apple, and a fuzzy sign in on the bottom. But that’s it. I can’t restart it. I can’t do anything. Any advice.

Why Risk a Faulty Mac?

Who's the seller? If it is Apple, then go directly through them. If not, then return it to the seller. It seems you've been sold a fully device or a damaged device. So, rather than fiddle with its settings, see about getting this serviced. You have a one-year, out-of-the-box, limited-warranty on this. So, here is the Apple Support contact info:

It was purchased at Costco. We actually had a problem with the laptop we bought our son for college. So we returned. Mind boggling that this would happen again with a brand new computer.

Then you should Return it:

You purchased this from Costco —go figure. All another reason to purchase an expensive device from Apple. As for purchasing a used device, an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) is who to go through: Explore Service Locations
