iPhone 16 Pro Max screen lighting up issue on incoming calls

I am experiencing a recurring issue on my iPhone 16 Pro Max running iOS 18.2.1 where the screen remains dark and does not light up during incoming calls. This issue occurs intermittently, and while it does not happen with every call, it happens frequently. with every 2nd or 3ed call. i have checked the sensor. When the phone receives a call, the screen remains black, and I am unable to see the caller’s information or answer the call by tapping on the screen.
