How do I enable Security features on iPhone 16 Pro Max

I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max 512GB, excited about its design and security, but my phone was stolen and the thieves accessed my phone information and threatened my contacts and their relatives, what happened?

How can they access your phone so easily? I had passwords so they couldn't access my apps, my photos, personal contacts, etc. but nothing stopped them.

The thieves could not have accessed the data on your phone unless they knew your passcode.

Unless you had an easy to guess passcode like 000000 or 123456.....What likely happened......the thief or thieves were "shoulder surfing" without your knowledge and they saw you enter your passcode for the phone.

Did you receive a message from "Apple Support" or "Apple Service" or the "Police" stating that your phone had been found?

Did you receive a message with a link asking you to do something?

Usual way is when Face ID was not enabled, or somebody observes (or videos) the owner entering the passcode, or both.

With a lost device and a compromised passcode, security is bypassed.

Stolen Device Protection can be enabled as well, and that forces use of Face ID while delaying the passcode for certain operations, but that comes with some compromises.
