Mac Mini wont turn on and heats up

Was using my 2023 M2 Mac Mini yesterday and turned it off for the night, came home from work today to find it surprisingly hot and it would not turn on. I unplugged everything from it gave it time to cool down, and when I plugged it back in it still would not turn on and it began heating up again. What could be the cause of this and how would I fix it?
