Deleted Notes on iPad Pro are not in 'Recently Deleted' folder

I accidentally deleted a note on my iPad Pro TODAY, and there is no “Recently Deleted Folder” from the last 30 days, which I assume includes today! I also tried to find it quickly on my linked iPhone and Mac. No such luck. What gives with Apple? They can’t do better than this for data recovery?

How can I restore deleted Notes on my iPad? I must have accidently deleted a page in Notes, it had over 5 meetings worth of information. Today it's 2/11/2025 and I have a 02/04/2025 back up which I'm willing to use. I've tried to use this back up but every time the iPad load the missing page, it will immediately automatically write over the old backup with the latest. Turning off Notes synch will delete all the files associated with Notes, so there are no data. Co-Pilot suggests turning off the WiFi, which I will try and then save all of the information some other way. Are there any other ways to get around this problem? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

"Recently Deleted" Notes folder missing on iPhone My iPhone XR, running on 16.0.2, warned my iCloud is out of space. I suspected Notes as I was in the midst of scanning lots of old documents & transferring the scans to my Mac, & unbeknownst to me, my default Notes account for saving the scans was iCloud & not locally on the iPhone. Then I read, I should find the Recently Deleted folder to delete the files. But my iPhone, fully updated, does not show the Recently Deleted folder in Notes. I logged into & out of iCloud, rebooted the phone, & double-checked the Updates. Nothing has helped. I was able to find the Recently Deleted folder on iCloud.com & have deleted the files, so my issue here is, no longer accessing the heavy files, but only "How to get the iPhone to show the Recently Deleted folder for Notes?"

recover accidently deleted notes in a note iPad Pro - went to add more notes to a note & entire section deleted, how do i retrieve those deleted notes. can't find on cloud or other devices that orig info/notes

Perhaps you have an iCloud or iTunes backup that precedes the deletion. If so, you might consider restoring the backup to your iPad:

For the benefit of clarity, have you exposed the Notes App sidebar by tapping the yellow sidebar icon at the top-left of the Notes App window?

The Recently Deleted folder is accessed from the sidebar.

Yes. And there is no Recently Deleted Folder.
