iTunes LP download error ‘corrupt file try again’

I saw a post from shaquille somebody back in Nov 2024 describing this issue and it just hit me... I purchased an iTunes LP not really knowing what I was getting into... It gives continual download error saying something about file appears corrupt try again... Every since then functions like view my account or purchased items in iTunes will not work, and I can't access the store any more... I've tried going to the version Shaquille suggested but no cigar... This also forced me to start new library due to iTunes version being older than lib version. Also asked Apple to cancel/refund my purchase thinking that might make the issue go away but they have not responded yet... I also tried installing Apple music to try and fix this but that took all the music out of iTunes... I uninstalled Apple Music app but still and can't see my music in iTunes... Was going to re-build the library but holding to see if some other solution presents itself... One other thing is that I turned off automatic downloads but it still tries to download the LP everytime iTunes starts... It also has this perpetual making purchases available thing going on in the download button on the upper right... Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

Hi.

Try uninstalling any of Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Devices that you have installed. Once this is done you should be able to select Music from the media selection tool at the top left of the iTunes window.

Inside your media folder delete the Downloads folder. In iTunes under Edit > Preferences > Advanced click Reset Cache. It may also help to clear the cache from your browser. Try downloading the iTunes LP again. If you have any third party AV software it may help to temporarily disable it or exclude the iTunes/iTunes Media folders from real time scanning. If it still fails you will likely need to use the https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ site to reach out to Apple Support and let them know about the issue. They should be able to remove the queued up automatic download from their end if that is still happening.

Thanks for the response... I opened a ticket with Apple Support and talked to a senior advisor and he was able to at least get my iTunes back to where it was... He agreed that the iTunes LP was very likely caused my issues and has put my account into some kind of weird state... He asked me to wait until Monday 10am to resume troubleshooting after putting in request to cancel/refund the LP purchase... Hopefully once purchase is cancelled my account will go back to normal...
