Locating chart data editor in Pages on iPad Pro

I am trying to make a chart in Pages on my iPad Pro to record vital signs. How do I type on the chart itself? I keep seeing something about a “chart data editor”, but I don’t know where that is. Can someone please help? Right now I have to type the text below the chart and copy and paste it into the cells on the chart.
