Accidental screenshots from volume buttons on iPhone XR Wondering why Apple doesn’t move some buttons so that when I try to increase/decrease volume on my phone I don’t take an accidental screenshot? since buttons oppose, it’s tough to do without pressing both sides. Anyone have a way to shut this off? Have an iPhone XR but assume they’re all the same. It’s annoying and screenshots take up previous memory. cheers! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

I suspect you took a screenshot: Quickly press and release the Side button and the Volume Up button simultaneously.
To power off your phone: Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.

If you released the buttons too quickly as is detailed in the #1 above, you take a screenshot. To power off, you need to press hold both buttons at the same time until the slider to power off appears.
