It also needs to be pointed out that the ban on TikTok HAS NOT BEEN LIFTED. The current administration has extended the deadline for enforcement of the law for 75 days (mid-March) in hopes a deal can be made with ByteDance. China has stated over and over again that ByteDance will not sell itself to an American company.

So the joy of having TikTok back in the App Store may be short lived. Please keep that in mind.

It is illegal for anyone to distribute the TikTok app in the United States – or to provide updates to that app if you already have a version of it installed. TikTok is considered to be a "foreign adversary controlled application"; as such, a ban on it went into effect the other day.
