Remove or disable the Google web app banner
An annoying banner always appears on top of the search bar about opening the Google app. I want that banner removed. How do I do that?

Easy. Don't use Google. Use another search engine that will not harass you to install an app you don't want to install.
Unlike Macs, iPhones are more difficult to Google to infect, and they are resorting to increasingly desperate measures to get you to install their app. You don't have to play that game. Just select a different Search Engine: Change your default search engine on iPhone - Apple Support.
