iPhone 16 Pro Max overheating and app restarts with Playground and Genmoji apps

I wanted to share my experience with Apple devices and some concerns I’ve encountered. I was previously a Samsung user before transitioning to the iPhone. After using the iPhone 7 Plus for six years, I faced several persistent issues, including:

1. Excessive Overheating: The device temperature would rise significantly, even during moderate use.

2. Screen Freezing and Restarts: The screen would occasionally freeze, and the phone would restart on its own.

3. Battery Performance: The battery health has now dropped to 72%. Despite charging it to 100% or even limiting it to 80%, the battery drains rapidly, especially when using apps. Additionally, when switching between apps, they often restart from the beginning, which affects usability.

4. Phone Calls and Messages: During calls or while using text messages, the screen would freeze, and calls would disconnect unexpectedly.

I’ve taken all the recommended steps to preserve battery life and optimize performance, including disabling unnecessary settings. However, these issues persisted over the years, which I attributed to the age of the device.

Recently, I decided to upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, hoping for a better experience. After setting up the device and updating it to iOS 18.2, I noticed a similar issue with overheating, even during normal use. I also observed that some apps restart unexpectedly when switching back to them.

And The problem becomes even more pronounced when using certain applications:

1. Playground App: After using it for just five minutes, the device temperature increases significantly to an uncomfortable level.

2. Genmoji App: Similarly, the phone heats up very quickly during usage.

In addition, I noticed that the battery drains at an unusually fast rate when these apps are in use. The heat generated by the device seems to exacerbate the battery consumption, making it nearly impossible to use the device efficiently.

I believe this issue warrants attention, as such performance concerns are not expected from a product of this caliber. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and provide guidance on potential solutions or next steps.

While my overall experience with the new device has been positive, I believe these specific issues—overheatingand app restarts—deserve attention. I’ve seen that other users have reported similar concerns, and I hope Apple can address these problems through future updates.
