The Maps feature is only a blur on my Apple Watch 10

I just purchased an apple 10 watch and the maps feature is only a blur. wondering why. Does the maps function work on the watch?

Apple Watch Ultra Multisport Activity Tracking I have the Apple Watch Ultra 2, previously had Series 7. On my 7, when I used the Multisport activity mode I could see all of my maps for the duration of my workout or triathlon race. Now, with my Ultra 2, I can see maps when I do individual workouts like run or bike, but in multisport triathlon mode it doesn’t capture or show the map like it did on series 7. I have locations and tracking enabled. Any thoughts here on how to get the maps tracking in that mode to work or show up?

Are you using offline maps, and the iPhone is not nearby?
