Can't enter text into header in Pages.

Can't enter text into header in Pages. I started with a template, and am in Page Layout Format.

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 15.2

Difficulties with selecting and copying text : too much scrolling! When trying to select a large block of content from a page, after selecting an initial section and trying to expand it by dragging the selection corner, the screen scrolls instead and i loose my initial selection. I have to start over again. Sometimes it take at least 5 times or more or I give up Help! James

Headers and Footers are initially hidden in page layout format documents. Visit the Documents panel and enable them.
