homepod playing outdated old news

My paired HomePods (original) keep giving me the News from 26th December 2024 when I ask “hey Siri, what’s the News”. They had been working fine until the 26th December 2024. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

Homepod Software Update resource not found. I updated my HomePod to 16.3. After updating, Siri can no longer fulfill any requests. Request a radio station? "One second...." and so on, as if she's not connected to the Internet (she is). So I reset the HomePod multiple times, reconnected it to my iPad, and still same problem. I then tried factory restoring it with my M1 MBP. I received this alert,"the HomePod Software Update server could not be contacted. The requested resource was not found." What do I do now....?

Homepod fails on first Siri request to set or add an alarm When setting an alarm on my homepod, Siri rejects the first request and when the request is repeated, turns on the alarm. It appears that the first request times out and then the second one finds the alarm and sets it. This behavior has been consistent since version 16 was released and did not get better with 16.1. I have tried resetting the Homepod without getting any different results. Suggestions?
