Assistive Access - Deleting Messages

Trying to setup Assistive Access for my grandmother. She has Text messages back from landlines she tried to send a text to. I don't see anyway to delete these except by going back out and doing in the full iPhone arena. (tough for her to maneuver - which is why we tried Access).

I was told yesterday by Support that were a direct number into Assistive Access Support. I would like that number as I've spent a week on this with 4 calls to Support (having to explain why the person answering cannot help me, I need this special Support area); 2 visits to the Apple Store; 3 visits to Verizon store.

So it would help me accelerate this process as I stumble across more holes trying to help her with this phone.

Wonderful to know that your grandmother has your help!

Am no expert in this area, yet your post to the community certainly deserves some response.

Wondering if customizing the Messages app to suit your grandmother's needs can help:

Apple support's online article: Add, remove, and customize apps for Assistive Access on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

Change options for apps in Assistive Access

  1. Exit Assistive Access if it’s active.
  2. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Assistive Access, then tap the app’s name.
  3. Choose options for the app.

These are the Accessibility Support contact options for support with Accessibility features:

To contact Apple's Accessibility Support Team, see:

See: How to contact Apple for accessibility support - Apple Support

or

Another option is via Apple's Accessibility Support Website:

(NB: You can "Get Support" (online chat / phone / email etc.) from the link at the bottom of their website:)

There is also an option to provide feedback if you wish:

To provide feedback about an accessibility feature on an Apple product, email the Accessibility team: accessibility@apple.com.

All the best :-)
