Deleting an album from iTunes leaves empty folders.

I noticed I have a bunch of empty folders in iTunes from when I have deleted the album from my library. Is there a way to look for empty nested folders and remove them. Why doesn't iTunes do this?

iTunes Windows - How to remove music list on device? Having trouble clearing the 'Music' list in iTunes > Devices > My iPhone > Music, which is supposed to show music on the device. This list remains, even after I have deleted all music from the iPhone. And whilst it remains in this list I can no longer add the song/album back onto the device (I delete from Settings > Apps > Music > Downloaded music > Edit > All Songs). Is there a way to clear this list in iTunes? I managed to do it previously. Can't seem to get it to clear now though :-/ I usually just drag/drop albums to the iPhone (under Devices in iTunes) then delete albums from the iPhone when I want to change up the music on there. Deleting old large iTunes library (200 BG) from external hard dive I created a new iTunes library on an external hard drive, and put the old music files in the trash. I’ve been trying to empty the trash but after 3 days of trying it is still not empty. Any quick solutions out there? Thx
