I cannot get my new Mac mini m4 to recognize my Orico 5 big DAS SOLUTION 9758C3 storage disks when I hook it up. This is my first time using the Orico. If I need to format the disks first, the Mac mini can’t even see it to format it. I tried using disk utility and that doesn’t work either. HELP
You need to be in contact with the product developers. Also, based on what I see looking at their website this product is NOT for Mac OS. It is a MS Windows device. Did you research the product before buying it?
To be honest this is one reason I recommend OWC (www.macsales.com), they specialize in Macs and everything they sell is well tested and supported by them. They make a wide variety of external storage solutions. If you can, return the drive you bought and talk to Macsales.com. They are not cheap like Orico but their stuff works and works for long periods of time!

FWIW, I have found several sites including Orico (which took forever to load) where it says it supports Windows, Mac, and Linux (Amazon didn't but then again Amazon descriptions aren't always accurate).

However, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will work with the new M4 Mini or Sequoia.
Have you tried connecting to the front ports on the M4 Mini?
There have been a few reports where USB based are not working when connected to the rear USB-C ports but do work when connected to the front ports.
