how do i get my photos back on my camera roll

Photos have NEVER been in the Camera app. When you take a pic the camera saves it to the Photos app. And about 5 years ago Apple stopped using the term Camera Roll. They still have the collection of photos taken with the camera, but they are in the Photo Library.

That's where photos are supposed to go. When you take or download a photo, it goes to the Photo App, not the Camera App. The Camera App is for taking photos, not storing them. It has NEVER been where Photos are stored.

That is still there. All tapping on that does is to open the Photos app, just as it always has. Nothing has changed there.
