I’ve noticed that small dots have started appearing on the back of my iPad, which has a matte finish. These dots were not there before, and I’m concerned about whether this is normal or if it could affect the device in any way.Could you please advise on whether this is a common issue with the matte finish and if there’s any recommended solution or action I should take?

The marks (perhaps chips) that you illustrate are entirely cosmetic - and will have absolutely no impact upon tne functioning or utility of your iPad.
If you wish to keep the surface finish of your iPad pristine, you would be well advised to keep the iPad enclosed within a fitted case.
