Siri wants an App first

My iPhone 16, perhaps after an update, when asking Siri, Ford’s Sync 4, asked to download an App, before it will make a call

To improve my understanding of the phenomenon, it would be highly beneficial if you could share a full screenshot (Do not crop it). Visual representations carry a greater impact than written descriptions.

Please remember that this is a public forum, so when attaching a screenshot, please avoid including any personal credentials such as IP addresses, card details, email IDs, Apple IDs, IMEI numbers, serial numbers, phone numbers, order IDs, or any identifiable location information if you are sharing a map.

With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.

Please get in touch with the car delaer and ensure that your Ford Sync 4 system has the latest software update. Sometimes, compatibility issues arise when the car's software/firmware is outdated.

If the issue still persists, download the FordPass app from the App Store if you haven't already. Some features of Sync 4 might require this app for full functionality.

The car has came from the Ford Dealer today, after being worked on for the last 28 days, most of which was updating Sync 4. However I was having issues with the iPhone requesting me to download an App to have Siri make a phone call from the vehicle’s steering wheel.

On the way home from Sarasota Ford, after turning the iPhone off and then on, it twice asked me to approve the request my having the iPhone recognize my face. It then called the person I requested. Haven’t used it since.
