Retrieving garage band files on my iMac from iCloud

I have lost many of my garage band files when I updated my software. Is there a way to recover them?

Recovering lost GarageBand files Hello. I have recorded many songs on GarageBand over the past year and a half, and there have been multiple times where I have deleted the application either on purpose to save space or on accident. All files that I had created on GarageBand prior to me deleting the app have been lost. Is there any way I can recover them? Some of them are very important to me.

Trashing Music Folder on Home drive- recreating from music files backup I have an iMac 2020 that is running Sequoia 15.3. Since upgrading to 15.3, I've seen music files go missing and existing files unrecognized by the Music app (can't locate files). I've backed up the files I have to another drive, and I'd like to recreate the Music Library, then add the music I have back into the app. What is the best method? Should I keep the files on a separate drive, or bring them back onto the Home drive? Further, with the Music app being unreliable in keeping my music, are there any other music programs out there that offer the database coverage that Music does?

garageband 10.4.8 i've been using garageband on my macbook for voiceover and podcast editing since the late-aughts. i habitually save my work while editing. however, recently, when i close the app and come back to a project a few days later, it might reload a random older version of the file i was working on. it has happened to me a few times over the past couple weeks. that's hours of work down the drain! in particular, i am losing automation and EQ. in at least one instance, i also lost content edits. it's incredibly annoying. is this happening to anyone else? is there any way to recover whatever temporary files that might have that data in them? is there any setting in the app that i can change that might minimize the likelihood of this continuing to happen or save temp files for retrieval if necessary?
