Can I recover Photos from old iCloud account?

I’m in a terrible situation. I once created a new iCloud account, which I’m still using. My old account has an outdated phone number, and I can’t access it because I don’t remember the password. There are very important photos of deceased loved ones on that account. Is there any way to recover the iCloud account so I can retrieve the photos?

My guess is, probably not. Apple says they will keep stuff in an iCloud account for a month after payment has stopped, in case you change your mind or want to download files. But there are no guarantees about longer than that.

You would need some way to access the account, which is discussed here:

The thing is, you need a password, a phone number, another signed-in device, or something like that.

You could try talking to Apple at one of these places. The last one has phone numbers.
