My AirPods are not announcing calls after iOS 18 update

I had a 12 pro until last week 12/18/24 & now I have a 16 pro max but ever since I updated my iphone to ios 18.1 in November my airpod pros won’t announce phone calls. Allow notifications is on, Announce notifications for Phone is on, ringtone and tone volume is maxed out. It doesn’t matter if my phone is locked or not and I have Siri set for Headphones Only. I have deleted/forgot devices and then re-paired them and I have turned my devices on and off, to no avail. I’ve searched for answers all over the place, ie here, inet, reddit, 25-yo “kids” and can’t find a solution. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There's no need, you turn up the volume during an incoming call and then it goes silent the next time. The other ads work fine, so it's definitely the AirPods firmware that needs updating. I don't know what Apple is waiting for to resolve!

Did you tried to raise volume up during call, I am facing same issue today when I moved from 14 pro max to 16 pro max, iphone was not annoucing call when my airpods pro connected, but when I increase volume I see acutally when you connect airpods volume becomes zero, you have to done it everytime you get call.. Still I am facing same issue, may be it's system bug.. Please if any one has solution then please let me know..
