Why is my phone no longer able to auto-detect the language in my text messages

I recently noticed that my phone no longer auto-detect the language I’m writing my messages in. So the auto-correction assume I’m writing my messages in English despite the fact that I added the other languages in my list of Preferred Languages and restarted my phone. Language auto-detection and auto-correction used to work fine in several apps including Messages and WhatsApp. But I believe it stopped working after my recent iOS updates, not sure which one.
