Love photos on my Mac mini, was hoping Apple with the new Ai, would enhance photos with background removal, better removal programs, and other things, like the other markets, like photoshop, Lightroom, etc, has out now!!

Yes, I have Ai, also have used the clean up tool, but it is limited on what you can do with it. It's best to have the background removal, to do much better job. Clean up tool, will not work ,very well with photos of people, and more defined objects.
As users only on this user to user only forum, we have no inside knowledge of anything Apple is working on for future releases. Apple Intelligence and the Cleanup Tool are the first iterations. Using more robust tools such as Adobe Suite will certainly offer more than the simple Cleanup tool offers currently.
