AirPods 4 with ANC not receiving calls on iPhone XS Max

Good evening, I bought AirPods 4 with anc and when I receive a call on the iPhone XS Max the ringing is not heard. Then when the call is terminated from the other end, the AirPods disconnect and then reconnect. So it's impossible to receive calls. Does anyone have this problem?

No Ring tone in Airpods when receiving a call. Recently my Airpod Pros stopped ringing when receiving phone calls. New iPhone 14 with iOS 18.2.1. When a call is coming in, and the Airpods are in my ears, there is no ring tone in the Airpods. I tried them on two different iphones. Same result. I have powered down both phones and reset the Airpods. Ringer volume is set to half way. Phone will vibrate when the call comes in.
