Why is Apple Music not playing through my Bluetooth device?

My laptop is linked to my Bluetooth speakers. Sound is coming from those speakers, even as Apple Music continues to play only on the laptop's built-in speaker. There must be a setting somewhere to tell Apple not to override and to let itself be played on Bluetooth. I just can't find it.

Apple Music stops playing songs after a few seconds on MacBook Pro On my MacBook Pro when I start playing a song in Apple Music, the song stops playing after a few seconds. Rebooting the Mac and restarting Apple Music does not fix the problem. In the lower left corner of Apple Music, I see a window saying that it's waiting for bluetooth devices. If none are close and/or connected, why search for them? Also, why stop playing music if you can't connect to them. This is not very good for Apple. This behavior isn't repeated on my iPhone or iPad or iPod so why does the Mac does this. My Mac is running Ventura 13.2.1 Very annoying problem.

Any way to disable an automatic bluetooth connection to a speaker? Hello, I have a speaker that I connect to my iPad, however my MacBook Air constantly "hijacks" it, I use the computer more often and bluetooth a keyboard, and the speaker keeps autoconnecting to the Macbook, which I then have to turn off first in order to play music from my iPad. Other that "forgetting" the speaker on the MacBook, is there any way to prevent this? Thanks!

Apple Mucis app on Windows 11 is 'playing' but no sound is coming out of any audio output. Hi, I'm using Apple Music on Windows 11. I have a Dragonfly DAC plugged into my laptop via a USB-C dongle. I frequently use different bluetooth headsets with my PC. As such, I'm no stranger to having to close and reopen Apple Music when I want my music to come through a different audio output. Every other app on my PC seems to be able to cope with switching outputs, but that's not the point of this question. Apple Music on my PC now seems to have got into a state where it will not channel music to any of my audio outputs. No matter what song I choose, the track listing in the player changes, the progress bar starts filling up, and there is no sound coming out of any output, no matter what I try. I have signed out of Apple Music, signed back in - no difference. I have rebooted my laptop - no difference. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application - no difference. For clarity - every other app on my PC is pushing sound through whatever output I choose, so all the outputs are working. The Cider app is working fine while connected to the same Apple Music Account. (I don't have AM and Cider running at the same time, I downloaded it for diagnostic purposes). One thing I have noticed is that in the Windows Volume Mixer Apple Music is showing up twice. Might that me something to do with it? This is driving me nuts - if anyone could offer any advice, I'd be very grateful.
