FaceTime Picture-in-Picture not working on iPhone 16 Pro Max

When I’m on FaceTime with someone and on my other phone I could click off of the FaceTime and still see them in the right hand corner while on other app. With the new iPhone 16 pro max it won’t let me do that. Is there anyways to get that to work or to do something to make it work?
